Frequently Asked Questions..

  • Dan & Cory Pearson operate the farm along with several other family members including parents, siblings, a nephew, grandchildren, and other ‘adopted family’ staff members.

  • No, we do not wholesale large quantities of produce.  We are primarily a retail farm and only have limited quantities available for wholesale.

  • While we are new to Clear Lake, Pearson Family Farm has been in the area since 1942, when the farm was established just 30 miles east on Highway 10 in Ramsey.  Check out a video of our story here.

  • We do not make deliveries. Pearson Family Farm is primarily a retail farm and the only wholesale that is available is for pickup.

  • We are primarily a retail farm, but individual wholesale requests can be handled on a case by case basis. All of our wholesale is to other local farms and markets. We do not wholesale in large quantities to any larger stores, distributors, etc.

  • We love seeing families and friends making memories on the farm! Feel free to take personal photos during your visit to our pumpkin patch and corn maze—we just ask that you be respectful of other guests, our staff, and the farm property.

Personal Photography- Casual photos for personal use are welcome and encouraged! Please be mindful not to block pathways or disturb crops or animals while snapping your perfect fall shot.

Professional Photography- If you're a photographer planning a professional session (including family portraits, mini sessions, or styled shoots), prior approval and a photo session fee are required. Please contact us in advance to schedule and review our guidelines.

  • The farm is approximately 45 acres total and we do rent land for additional crop space. Currently, we grow about 6 acres of pumpkins, gourds and squash, and 6 acres of corn maze (which changes slightly from year to year depending on the design.) The remaining acres are a mix of popcorn, broomcorn, Indian corn, sorghum, and of course, the sunflowers. We also have flowers in the cut your own patch, and Grandma Pearson’s special grape vines that we brought with from the farm in Ramsey when we moved. We are hoping to build on the grapes and add a few varieties of berries for a pick-your-own at some point in the future.

  • There is NO general admission or parking charge to enter the farm. Activities, games, and events have admission charges. You can find the info on the specific prices for activities here.

  • Please leave all pets at home. Due to safety requirements, pets are not permitted. Trained ADA service dogs that are leashed and properly restrained are welcome. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service dogs under the ADA and are not permitted at the farm due to safety regulations. We often get asked about why pets are allowed at some other farms. Because we are a farm that has livestock and wholesales to other farms, we have different safety rules than some other farms, and those safety rules require us to have rules about pets on the farm.

  • Snacks and meals are available for purchase in the barn or at the food truck on the weekends and special days during the fall. You may bring a picnic lunch if you choose but please refrain from sharing with the animals. Human food and even some crops can be dangerous to certain animals

  • We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, & Cash.

  • We are a smoke-free farm. Smoking and vaping is prohibited throughout the grounds.

  • The barn opens in early September (check the calendar page for opening dates each year). 80% of all of our crops are grown right here at the farm.

  • For fall activities, you may purchase tickets when you arrive for the activities you wish to participate in.

For field trips and special events, advance tickets are often required. Click here to see more about hosting a field trip here.
